Enhancing Safety on the Capricorn Highway
Delnorth worked with RoadTek Rockhampton on the Capricorn Highway in Gracemere, where trucks were stopping on the shoulder near a turn-off, and visibility had become a major concern.
LaneFlex flexible bollards were installed to guide drivers through the turn and discourage trucks from using the shoulder. Alongside Steel-Flex flexible road markers, their impact-recovering design acted as a flexible road divider, improving lane guidance and keeping B-doubles clear of hazardous areas. The upgrade improved driver awareness and made the corridor significantly safer.
